The Buildhub RenderPro Rendering Cement is a factory pre-blended system combining Portland cement, graded silica aggregate, hydrated lime, and a redispersible polymer powder to produce external render mixes with consistently superior adhesion, flexibility, and weather resistance compared to site-batched traditional sand-cement renders. The polymer modification is the key performance differentiator — polymer chains in the hardened render matrix bridge between cement particles and aggregate, increasing tensile and flexural strength and crucially providing a degree of elasticity that accommodates substrate thermal movement and settlement without the map cracking that is the most common failure mode of traditional sand-cement renders.
RenderPro is designed to perform as a two-coat system: a basecoat scratch coat at 10-15mm thickness provides the structural render body and mechanical key for the finish coat, while a thinner 6-8mm finish coat provides the final surface texture and weather barrier. Both coats are produced from the same material at different sand dilution ratios, simplifying site logistics and ensuring chemical compatibility between coats. A single coat application is also possible for background surfaces with good suction and flatness.
The render system is compatible with brick, sand-lime block, concrete block, solid concrete, and stone masonry substrates, with specific priming guidance for low-suction and high-suction backgrounds included in the product technical data sheet. In all cases, the substrate must be structurally sound, free from contamination, and dampened to an evenly moist condition prior to render application.
RenderPro is available in Grey and Off-White base shades. The off-white grade is compatible with all Buildhub mineral pigment systems for through-colored render production. Coverage rate is approximately 12-15kg per m² at standard coat thickness combination.
