The Buildhub SceedFlow Floor Screed Cement is a factory-optimized screed formulation designed for the production of high-quality bonded, unbonded, and floating floor screeds in domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. Pre-blended with precisely graded aggregate, synthetic microfibre reinforcement, and polymer modification, SceedFlow produces screeds with superior crack resistance, improved surface hardness, and consistent flatness compared to site-batched traditional sand-cement screeds mixed from separate materials at variable proportions.
The synthetic microfibre reinforcement is perhaps the most important differentiating feature of SceedFlow. At the dosage and distribution achieved through factory blending, microfibre reinforcement provides a three-dimensional crack-arresting matrix throughout the screed body that prevents the shrinkage cracks generated during cement hydration and drying from propagating to the surface. This crack resistance is particularly critical in floating screeds installed over underfloor heating systems, where the thermal cycling that occurs after system commissioning generates repeated strain in the screed that surface-only reinforcement cannot address.
SceedFlow is suitable for hand-applied, mechanically screeded, and pump-applied installation at thicknesses from 40mm (bonded application over concrete substrates) to 75mm (floating application over insulation). Underfloor heating pipe encapsulation is possible from 45mm minimum cover, and the product is compatible with all standard heating pipe diameters used in domestic and commercial wet UFH systems.
Drying time to light foot traffic is 24-48 hours at standard temperature and humidity conditions. Minimum drying time before floating floor installation (timber, LVT, carpet) is 28 days at 20°C — drying time guidance for specific ambient conditions and screed depths is included in the product technical guide. Available in 40kg bags, 6 bags per pallet layer.
